West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The Common Entrance Examination will be conducted for admissions to professional undergraduate and postgraduate level courses offered in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental and Architecture in Universities, Government Colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal. Registration for WBJEE is expected to start in the first week of January 2020. As per the WBJEE 2020 exam pattern, candidates have to appear in two papers namely, Paper 1 (Mathematics) and paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). WBJEE 2020 Notification:

WBJEE 2020 Admit Card will be released in the month of October 2019. The examination will be organized on 2nd February 2020.

WBJEE 2020 Application Form:

Application Fee: Rs 500 /- + Bank Service Charges

Mode of Payment:

  • Online mode: Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking
  • Offline mode: Allahabad e-challan, deposit fees in any branch of Allahabad Bank with Core Banking Services.

How to Apply:

1) Visit the official website and register with required details.

2) Login and fill the application form with personal and academic details.

3) Upload the photograph and signature with required specifications.

4) Pay the application fee through above-mentioned modes.

5) Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

6) Download and take a printout of confirmation page after successful submission of application.

WBJEE 2020 Eligibility:

1) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

2)  Candidates who had passed/appearing the 10+2 qualifying exam are also eligible.

3) Candidates belonging to general category must obtain at least 45% marks in their 10+2 (PCM/PCB). For candidates belonging to reserved category, it is relaxed up to 5% i.e. 40% marks.

4) Lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020; however, there is no upper age limit to appear in WBJEE 2020, but the candidates who are born on or after 1st January 2000 are not eligible to appear in WBJEE 2020.

5) For admission to degree level Marine Engineering Course, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020 and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December 2020.

WBJEE 2020 Exam Pattern:

1) Mode: Pen & Paper-based test.

2) Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

3) All questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type

4) There will be three categories of questions in each of the subjects.

5) Each correct response carries 1 mark.

6) Negative Marking: 25% (1/4th) mark will be deducted for one incorrect response.

WBJEE 2020 Syllabus:

WBJEE 2020 syllabus is comprised of subjects

WBJEE 2020 Admit Card:

WBJEE 2020 admit cards will be released on 24th January 2020. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of WBJEE 2020. Admit Card contains information like unique roll number, name of the candidate, test date, time, and venue etc.


WBJEE 2020 Results

The WBJEE Results are expected to be released in the month of March 2020 tentatively. Rank Cards will be available after the release of results. Candidates can find the results in the website and download the rank cards. Rank cards will NOT be sent in post or mail to the candidate. The rank card should be produced at the time of admission.


WBJEE 2020 Counselling

The counselling of WBJEE will be held online in three rounds in the second week of June 2020. After the publication of result, the board will release the schedule for WBJEE counselling. All qualified candidates have to register in order to participate in the WBJEE counselling 2020 which involves registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, fee payment and document verification at the reporting centres. The details of the reporting centre will be mentioned in the rank cards of candidates qualified for the counselling process. Apart from the entrance test, WBJEE 2020 counselling will also be done for students qualifying in JEE Main 2020.


WBJEE 2020 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for WBJEE 2020, must apply through online only.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Centre well before so that you can take examination tension-free.

3) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.

4) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet after the test. Another page in the OMR sheet can be taken by the candidate for reference of his/her answers.

5) The Question booklet code, Admit Card Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared, if any will be cancelled subsequently in such cases.

6) Candidates are required to report 1 hour before the scheduled start time of the test for the verification & security check.

7) Admit Card should be produced at the time of Entrance Test and also at the time of Admission.
