In 2007, Dr. NGP established the Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology and the N.G.P. Group of educational institutions. The medical community and the general public hold Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami in high regard due to his innovative contributions to high-quality healthcare. The college is affiliated with Anna University in Chennai and has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi.

The institute offers B.Tech under 7 specializations, M.Tech under 4 specializations and an MBA programme for which admissions are based on TANCET, TNEA and GATE.
