Founded in 1983, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar (previously known as College of Engineering, Sakharale) is situated in Sangli, Maharashtra. With buildings measuring 54,000 square meters, RIT boasts a stunning, verdant campus spanning 17 hectares. With its committed and methodical approach to delivering high-quality technical education over more than 37 years, RIT has become a preeminent technological institute in Western Maharashtra.

The institute was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2017, allowing it to design its own curriculum and assessment methods. Over the years, RIT has grown significantly in terms of student enrollment, faculty strength, and infrastructural development.

Library- The RIT Central Library is quickly becoming one of the best institutional libraries in Western Maharashtra due to its cutting-edge infrastructure, technology, software, and other related resources. All engineering disciplines and management departments are well represented in the RIT Central Library's collection of 1,35,041+ volumes, 40,366+ titles, and 27,352 e-books. It also contains more than 33,251+ reference books and 416 Standards. GATE, TOFEL, MPSC, and other competitive and extracurricular exam books are included.

Hostel- There is room for 448 girl students in the ladies' hostel and 674 boy students in the boys' hostel. The Aquaguard system is fitted for drinking water, and six messes guarantee high-quality food. On each story, hot water is supplied by a solar system. With generators, a steady source of electricity is made available. Strict security and discipline policies are implemented to prevent any negative elements from entering the campus.

Central Computing Center-  There is a modern Central Computing Center at the Institute. All computing services are supported by the Center. It is a resourceful node of service with 115 i5 workstations, 33 licensed software programs, and related equipment. All significant procedures and services, including admission, student records, accounting, central stores, payroll, lodging, attendance, and results processing, have been computerized by the center due  to the development of many software programs.
