In the Historic Town of Mamallapuram, on the East Coast Road, is the newly established Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology, a center of excellence in engineering education. With over ten years of experience in the field of education, the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Health, Charitable and Educational Trust is in charge of the college.

DSCET offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs tailored to meet the demands of the engineering industry.

Approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, the college is associated with Chennai's major technical university, Anna University, and has received a "A+" grade from the NAAC.  Additionally, the college has been accorded 12(b) status by UGC. Five undergraduate courses—computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, and information technology—as well as one graduate course—master of business administration—have been given permanent affiliation with Anna University in Chennai.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology (DSCET) provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure facilities designed to support the academic and personal development of its students. Here’s an overview of the key infrastructure facilities available at DSCET:

Hostel- More than 650 pupils can be accommodated in one block that is exclusively designated for men. For the use of the students, the boys' dormitory features a separate library, reading area, and shuttle courts. In order to accommodate over 400 students, the college offers a separate hostel for women. To help the students, the girls' hostel has table tennis and shuttle courts.

library- A well-established, air-conditioned central library with a vast collection of print and digital books, journals, and back-volume journals is part of the institution. It serves the needs of faculty, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students by having departmental libraries in each department. The Library actively participates in reputable organizations such as N-List and DELNET. More than 150 periodicals, including journals, magazines, and 15 daily, are now subscribed to by the library. Through newsletters, announcement posters, and displays of new arrivals, the library offers its patrons current-awareness services.

Canteen- Students and staff have access to a large dining hall, kitchen, ice cream shop, stationery, and other amenities. Approximately 600 students can be accommodated at a time in the canteen. Food is prepared in a sanitary manner. Boys and girls are seated differently, according on their dietary preferences (vegetarians versus non-vegetarians).

Gymnasium- DSCET have state-of-the-art, multi-machine power and hydraulic gyms. Each session, 40 students may be accommodated in these gyms. Experienced trainers will lead each session.

Internet facility-  The entire campus is well-connected via wired and wireless networks in acknowledgment of the necessity and significance of the Internet in the sphere of education. With high-speed broadband cable, students can access the internet at 70 Mbps. Wi-Fi is available everywhere, including the library, auditorium, and dorms, and is not only limited to classrooms.

Medical Facility- During business hours, a fully furnished dispensary operates on campus. Because we have a part-time doctor on campus and an MOU, students who want medical assistance can obtain it right away. signed with Kelambakkam's Chettinadu Health City.
