NMAT 2026 Syllabus

The NMAT 2026 syllabus does not have an officially prescribed curriculum from GMAC, but it consistently evaluates candidates across three primary sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning, featuring 36 multiple-choice questions in each division.

The Language Skills section measures English proficiency through reading comprehension passages, grammar concepts (like tenses, prepositions, and sentence correction), and vocabulary topics including synonyms, antonyms, and word analogies.

The Quantitative Skills section assesses mathematical problem-solving, numerical reasoning, and data interpretation, focusing heavily on core areas such as Arithmetic (percentages, ratios, and averages), Algebra (linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, and logarithms), Modern Math (probability, permutations, and combinations), and Data Sufficiency.

Unlike most competitive management exams that release hall tickets on a single fixed date, the NMAT 2026 admit card functions on a rolling release model tied directly to an individual's self-scheduled test window. The admit card is generated digitally on the official candidate dashboard (at mba.com) and becomes available for download within 24 hours after an applicant successfully completes their exam registration, online fee payment, and test slot booking.

It is a mandatory document for exam day verification and contains crucial details such as the candidate's full name, photograph, unique NMAT by GMAC ID, specific test date and time, the exact test center address (or remote proctoring login instructions for home-based mode), and strict test-day guidelines.

For candidates choosing the physical test center mode, a clean, printed paper copy of the admit card is required for entry alongside valid, original photo identification (such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport). Crucially, since candidates can attempt the NMAT up to three times, a fresh, separate admit card must be downloaded and printed before each subsequent retake slot.
