AIMA - Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a National Level Examination conducted annually by All India Management Association (AIMA). This test is conducted to screen the capable candidates for admission in various courses such as BBA, BCA, Integrated MBA, BHM, B. Com etc. The information and score of the applicants are given to the institutes, colleges, universities opted by the candidates.

UGAT 2020 Application Form

The last date for UGAT 2020 Application process is 29th April 2020. Applicants can fill the application form through both the online and offline mode. Candidates need to make payment of INR 650 to register for the exam. Following is the explanation of both the modes:


Offline Mode

Students can obtain the UGAT 2020 Bulletin with the Registration form from the listed institutes or from AIMA, Lodhi Road New Delhi against cash payment of amount INR 650.

Students can also obtain the Bulletin and Application form through post by sending DD of amount INR 650 to AIMA.

The DD should be drawn in favour of “All India Association Management payable at New Delhi. Along with the DD, Students also need to attach two self-addressed slips.


Online Mode

Students can obtain the online application form by making a payment of amount INR 650/-.

The fees can be paid through online mode via Credit card/ Debit Card, Net Banking, DD.


UGAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks from a recognised board.
  • Those students who are waiting for their result or appearing for the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply
  • Students should be at least 17 years of age while appearing for the exam.


UGAT 2020 Exam Pattern

Mode of Exam: The exam will be held as a Paper-Based Test

Type of Questions: It is an objective type test.

Duration: The exam duration for IMBA, BBA, BCA, BHM, etc will be two hours & for BHM will be three hours.

Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

UGAT 2020 Syllabus

Candidates are advised to go through each and every topic of the syllabus for clearing the examination with better marks. The paper is divided into 4 sections i.e. English Language, Numerical & Data Analysis, Reasoning & General Intelligence, and General Knowledge.

English Language: Verbal Reasoning, Sentence completion, Fill in the Blanks, One-word substitution, Contextual usage, Syllogisms, Sentence correction, Idioms, Analogies, Different usage of the same word, Antonyms, Jumbled paragraphs, Foreign language words used in English.

Numerical & Data Analysis: Geometry, (Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone etc), Number system, HCF & LCM, Algebra, Ratios and Proportion, Work and time, Percentages, Averages, Profit & Loss, In-equations Quadratic and linear equations, Geometric progression, Partnership (Accounts), Time-Speed-Distance,

Reasoning & General Intelligence: Coding & Decoding, Visual reasoning, Pie Chart, Puzzles, Arrangement, Strong Arguments and Weak Arguments, Multi-dimensional arrangements, Course of Action, Graphs representing Area, Series, Family tree, Numeric grid, Blood Relations, Critical Reasoning, Calendars, Syllogisms, Statement Conclusions, Column graphs.

UGAT 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can download UGAT 2020 admit card from the official website of AIMA from 2nd May 2020. Admit card contains the information related to candidate’s name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date and Test Venue Address. Students are advised to bring the valid  UGAT 2020 hall ticket at the examination centre.

Steps to download UGAT 2020 admit card: -

  • Visit the official website of AIMA.
  • Students have to enter the Registration Form Number to access the admit card.
  • Candidates are advised to take the printout of the admit card for future reference.

Candidates need to affix two photographs similar to the one uploaded on the application form. They have to attest the photographs on the admit card by any Gazetted Officer or the Head of the Institute where the candidate has passed or going to pass.


UGAT 2020 Result

Candidates can check UGAT 2020 Results in last week of May 2020 in online mode only. Authority will also send the separate copy of scorecard along with the photograph by post to the registered address.

Steps to download the UGAT 2020 Result:

  • Visit the official website of All India Management Association i.e. AIMA.
  • On the website menu bar, select the “Testing Services”.
  • A drop-down list will be opened, select the AIMA UGAT 2020 Result option.
  • Students will be redirected to another page.
  • Click on the UGAT Result tab.
  • Enter Roll No and Form No.
  • Click on the Submit button.

After clicking on the button, the result will be displayed on the screen. Students can download and take the printout of the result for future reference.


UGAT 2020 Cut off

After the declaration of the result, various management institutions accepting UGAT will release their cut off. Those students who have selected more than the cut off marks will be shortlisted for the further selection process. The selection process is comprised of Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.


UGAT 2020 Counselling

After clearing the entrance examination, candidates have to participate in the counselling process organized by various institutions. Candidates must be physically present at the time of counselling otherwise seats will be allocated to another candidate. Applicants have to bring the following list of documents at the time of counselling for verification.

  • 10th and 12th Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination
  • School Leaving/ Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • Admit Card of UGAT 2020
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Class X pass certificate for verification of age
  • In case the result is awaited, evidence of appearing in qualifying exams
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC
  • Four passport size photographs similar to the one uploaded at the time of filling the application form
  • Self-attested photocopies of all the documents
