IBSAT 2019 (ICFAI Business School Admission Test) is an Entrance Exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education, Hyderabad. The entrance exam is a PG level exam for admission into MBA/PGPM programs offered at ICFAI Business Schools. The ICFAI Business Schools are spread all over India. Through this entrance test, the qualified students can get admitted in IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses. The test is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. IBS Admissions Open - Apply for IBS Through CAT / GMAT / NMAT by GMAC scores from 2017 onwards till 31st January 2020.

IBSAT 2019 Online Application Submissions were started on 1st July 2019. Last for the Submission of Online Applications is 12th December 2019. IBSAT 2019 Exam will be conducted on 21st & 22nd December 2019.

IBSAT 2019 Application Form

1) Candidates should visit the IBSAT official website https://www.ibsindia.org/admissions IBSAT 2019 to apply online or Candidates can also get the IBSAT Application from IBS Marketing offices or offline centres.

2) Candidates should fill the application form with the relevant details like personal and academic details, communication address, valid email id and mobile number etc.

3) Candidates need to upload their recent photograph with specified dimensions and size.

4) For the offline application-form candidates need to pay the application fee to get the application form.

5) Candidates who apply through online mode can pay the application fee through payment gateway (Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking).

6) Take the printout / Xerox of the application form for future reference.

7) Schedule the slot for the exam in the given dates by logging using application number and registered password.

IBSAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

For 2-year Management Program

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with the medium of instruction as English.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2019.
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations /viva/assignments) before May 31, 2019. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2019.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August 2019 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

For the PhD Program

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English and
  • Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from a UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks or
  • Postgraduation (full-time) in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a UGC recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks. Candidates who are offered admission are required to undertake the first-year MBA courses as a prerequisite to continue in the PhD Program. or
  • A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.

IBSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

1) Consist of 140 objective type questions.

2) The test for a total of 140 marks.

3) For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

4) Subjects: There will be four subjects like; English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Sufficiency.

5) The medium of the question paper will be English only.

6) The total duration of the test is 2 hours.

7) There is no negative marking.

IBSAT 2019 Admit Card

1) The admit cards of IBSAT 2019 entrance test will be available at the time of slot booking.

2) Admit Card is mandatory to enter the test centre/hall.

3) Candidates can download their hall ticket using their login id and password.

IBSAT 2019 Syllabus

The IBSAT 2019 test is based on testing the analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, comprehension ability and data interpretation of the candidates who take the same.

Quantitative Ability : Arithmetic, Decimals, Number systems, Linear equations, Geometry, Quadratic equations, Inequations ratio and proportion, Percentage, Partnership, Averages, Algebra, Time-Speed-Distance, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Pipes and cisterns, Allegations and Mixtures, Simple and compound interties, Mensuration, Work and time, Permutation and Combination, Probability.

Reading comprehension: Reading comprehension, Grammar, Passage analysis

Data Interpretation: Analogy, Statements assumptions, Analytic reasoning, Non-verbal reasoning, Ranking, Symbols, Sequencing, Matrix arrangement, Coding and decoding.

IBSAT 2019 Results

IBSAT 2019 entrance exam results will be released on 1st Week of January 2020. Students can find the results at the IBSAT 2019 official website. Students can apply for IBS using IBSAT 2019 scores or by using scores from 2019 of GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC.

IBSAT 2019 Admission Process

The selection process will take place in the month of  February 22-29 2020 at IBS Hyderabad campus. Candidates are advised to check the schedule on the website. The candidates will be allowed to choose any campus as per the preference at the time of the selection procedure. The selection briefings will be conducted in the month of January 13 - 20, 2020. Candidates can download the selection call letter from the website and carry it to the selected venue.

Exemptions: Candidates exempted from IBSAT 2019 are as follows

  1. i) Candidates qualified in GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC (For PG applicants)

For PhD applicants:

  1. ii) IBS Alumni

    iii) M.Phil Degree holders 2019

    iv) Candidates qualified in UGC Net 2019 are exempted from IBSAT

IBSAT 2019 Instructions

1) Candidate must ensure that the photograph uploaded is clearly visible.

2) Carry the admit card to the test centre or hall. If failed to produce the admit card on demand, the candidates will be not allowed to appear to the test.

3) Carry a valid identification card (Voter’s Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Aadhaar Card/Passport).

4) Candidates are advised to report to the test centre in advance to complete the formalities and security checks.

5) Candidates are not allowed inside the exam centre/hall after the commencement of the test.

6) Candidates who violate the rules are dealt as per the test centre regulations.

7) Any candidate who uses unfair means will be dealt with according to the rules & regulations of the test centre.
