IBSAT 2023 (ICFAI Business School Admission Test) is an Entrance Exam conducted by the ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education, Hyderabad. The entrance exam is a PG-level exam for admission into MBA/PGPM programs offered at ICFAI Business Schools. The ICFAI Business Schools are spread all over India. Through this entrance test, the qualified students can get admitted to IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses. The test is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. Students who wish to appear for the IBSAT 2023 entrance exam can apply now.
IBS offers scholarships of worth 10 crore to Top candidates in each category of CAT, NMAT, XAT, and GMAT.
Minimum scholarship eligibility cutoff scores: NMAT by GMACTM – 225 scores, CAT – 80 percentile, XAT – 80 percentile, GMAT – 640 score.
IBSAT scholarships have already been announced.
IBSAT will be a proctored home-based test. consisting of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
IBSAT is conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (Declared as a Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956), for students seeking admission to the following programs:
Alternatively scores from 2023 onwards of GMAT® / CAT / NMAT by GMACTM are accepted in place of IBSAT 2023.
For PhD Program: IBS Alumni, M.Phil Degree holders and UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from IBSAT 2023.
IBSAT 2023 Online Application Submissions were started on 1st July 2023. The last for the Submission of Online Applications is 16th December 2023. IBSAT Exam will be conducted on 23-24 December 2023. IBSAT will be a proctored home-based test.
1) Candidates should visit the IBSAT official website. IBSAT 2023 to apply online or Candidates can also get the IBSAT Application from IBS Marketing offices or offline centres.
2) Candidates should fill the application form with the relevant details like personal and academic details, communication address, valid email ID and mobile number etc.
3) Candidates need to upload their recent photograph with specified dimensions and size.
4) For the offline application form candidates need to pay the application fee to get the application form.
5) Candidates who apply through online mode can pay the application fee through a payment gateway (Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking).
6) Take the printout / Xerox of the application form for future reference.
7) Schedule the slot for the exam on the given dates by logging in using the application number and registered password.

Application Fee
Candidates of all categories need to pay the application fee of Rs.1800/-.
For 2-year Management Program
1) Consists of 140 objective-type questions.
2) The test for a total of 140 marks.
3) For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
4) Subjects: There will be four subjects; English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Sufficiency.
5) The medium of the question paper will be English only.
6) The total duration of the test is 2 hours.
7) There is no negative marking.

1) The admit cards for the IBSAT 2023 entrance test will be available at the time of slot booking.
2) Admit Card is mandatory to enter the test centre/hall.
3) Candidates can download their hall ticket using their login ID and password.
The IBSAT 2023 test is based on testing the analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, comprehension ability and data interpretation of the candidates who take the same.
Quantitative Ability: Arithmetic, Decimals, Number systems, Linear equations, Geometry, Quadratic equations, Inequations ratio and proportion, Percentage, Partnership, Averages, Algebra, Time-Speed-Distance, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Pipes and cisterns, Allegations and Mixtures, Simple and compound interties, Mensuration, Work and time, Permutation and Combination, Probability.
Reading comprehension: Reading comprehension, Grammar, Passage analysis
Data Interpretation: Analogy, Statements assumptions, Analytic reasoning, Non-verbal reasoning, Ranking, Symbols, Sequencing, Matrix arrangement, Coding and decoding.

IBSAT 2023 entrance exam results will be released on 1st Week of January 2024. Students can find the results at the IBSAT 2023 official website. Students can apply for IBS using IBSAT 2023 scores or by using scores from of GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC.
Candidates who qualify on the basis of IBSAT/ GMAT®/ CAT/ NMAT by GMACTM will be called for the Selection process at IBS Hyderabad - February 2024 for MBA/PGPM Program. The final selection is based on performance in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the past academic record.
Exemptions: Candidates exempted from IBSAT 2023 are as follows
1) Candidates qualified in GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC (For PG applicants)
For PhD applicants:
1) IBS Alumni
2) M.Phil Degree holders 2023
3) Candidates qualified in UGC Net 2023 are exempted from IBSAT
The above-mentioned candidates should forward the scanned copy of the scorecard / relevant certificate to email id ibsat@ibsindia.org
1) The candidate must ensure that the photograph uploaded is clearly visible.
2) Carry the admit card to the test centre or hall. If they fail to produce the admit card on demand, the candidates will be not allowed to appear for the test.
3) Carry a valid identification card (Voter’s Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Aadhaar Card/Passport).
4) Candidates are advised to report to the test centre in advance to complete the formalities and security checks.
5) Candidates are not allowed inside the exam centre/hall after the commencement of the test.
6) Candidates who violate the rules are dealt with as per the test centre regulations.
7) Any candidate who uses unfair means will be dealt with according to the rules & regulations of the test centre.
