IBSAT 2022 (ICFAI Business School Admission Test) is an Entrance Exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education, Hyderabad. The entrance exam is a PG level exam for admission into MBA/PGPM programs offered at ICFAI Business Schools. The ICFAI Business Schools are spread all over India. Through this entrance test, the qualified students can get admitted in IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses. The test is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. IBS offers scholarship of worth 10 crore to Top candidates in each category of CAT, NMAT, XAT, GMAT. 

Minimum scholarship eligibility cutoff scores : NMAT by GMACTM – 225 score, CAT – 80 percentile, XAT – 80 percentile, GMAT – 640 score.

IBSAT scholarships are already announced. 

 IBSAT will be a proctored home based test. consisting of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

IBSAT is conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (Declared as a Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956), for students seeking admission to the following programs:

  • 2-year full time MBA program at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, and off-campus of IBS Hyderabad at Bangalore.
  • 4-year Ph. D program (Full Time/Part-Time) at IBS Hyderabad
  • 2-year full time PGPM (Postgraduate Program in Management) at 5 IBS campuses - Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune

Alternatively scores from 2020 onwards of GMAT® / CAT / NMAT by GMACTM are accepted in place of IBSAT 2022.

For PhD Program: IBS Alumni, M.Phil Degree holders and UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from IBSAT 2022. 

IBSAT 2022 Notification

IBSAT 2022 Online Application Submissions were started on 1st July 2022. Last for the Submission of Online Applications is the 3rd week of December 2022. IBSAT  Exam will be conducted on 24-25 December 2022. IBSAT will be a proctored home based test.  IBSAT selection process is scheduled in February 2023 at IBS Hyderabad. IBSAT National Mock Test last date is 15th November 2022.

IBSAT 2022 Application Form

1) Candidates should visit the IBSAT official website. IBSAT 2022 to apply online or Candidates can also get the IBSAT Application from IBS Marketing offices or offline centres.

2) Candidates should fill the application form with the relevant details like personal and academic details, communication address, valid email id and mobile number etc.

3) Candidates need to upload their recent photograph with specified dimensions and size.

4) For the offline application-form candidates need to pay the application fee to get the application form.

5) Candidates who apply through online mode can pay the application fee through payment gateway (Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking).

6) Take the printout / Xerox of the application form for future reference.

7) Schedule the slot for the exam in the given dates by logging using application number and registered password.

IBSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For 2-year Management Program

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis). Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2023.
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2023. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2023.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2023 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

 

PhD Program in Management (Full-time/Part-time)

 

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English and
  • Postgraduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks     or
  • Postgraduation (full-time) in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a UGC recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks. Candidates who are offered admission are required to undertake the first year MBA courses as a prerequisite to continue in the PhD Program or
  • A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.

 

PhD Program in Economics (Full-time)

 

  • Graduation with 50% and above marks and Post-graduation in Economics or allied discipline with 55% and above marks.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2023.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August 2023 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

IBSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

1) Consist of 140 objective type questions.

2) The test for a total of 140 marks.

3) For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

4) Subjects: There will be four subjects like; English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Sufficiency.

5) The medium of the question paper will be English only.

6) The total duration of the test is 2 hours.

7) There is no negative marking.

IBSAT 2022 Admit Card

1) The admit cards of IBSAT 2022 entrance test will be available at the time of slot booking.

2) Admit Card is mandatory to enter the test centre/hall.

IBSAT 2022 Syllabus

The IBSAT 2022 test is based on testing the analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, comprehension ability and data interpretation of the candidates who take the same.

Quantitative Ability: Arithmetic, Decimals, Number systems, Linear equations, Geometry, Quadratic equations, Inequations ratio and proportion, Percentage, Partnership, Averages, Algebra, Time-Speed-Distance, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Pipes and cisterns, Allegations and Mixtures, Simple and compound interties, Mensuration, Work and time, Permutation and Combination, Probability.

Reading comprehension: Reading comprehension, Grammar, Passage analysis

Data Interpretation: Analogy, Statements assumptions, Analytic reasoning, Non-verbal reasoning, Ranking, Symbols, Sequencing, Matrix arrangement, Coding and decoding.

IBSAT 2022 Results

IBSAT 2022 entrance exam results will be released on 1st Week of January 2023. Students can find the results at the IBSAT 2022 official website. Students can apply for IBS using IBSAT 2022 scores or by using scores from 2019 of GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC.

IBSAT 2022 Selection Process

Candidates who qualify on the basis of IBSAT/ GMAT®/ CAT/ NMAT by GMACTM will be called for Selection process at IBS Hyderabad - February 2023 for MBA/PGPM Program. The final selection is based on performance in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the past academic record.

Exemptions: Candidates exempted from IBSAT 2022 are as follows

  1. i) Candidates qualified in GMAT/CAT/NMAT by GMAC (For PG applicants)

For PhD applicants:

  1. ii) IBS Alumni

    iii) M.Phil Degree holders 2022

    iv) Candidates qualified in UGC Net 2022 are exempted from IBSAT

IBSAT 2022 Instructions

1) Candidate must ensure that the photograph uploaded is clearly visible.

2) Carry the admit card to the test centre or hall. If failed to produce the admit card on demand, the candidates will be not allowed to appear to the test.

3) Carry a valid identification card (Voter’s Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Aadhaar Card/Passport).

4) Candidates are advised to report to the test centre in advance to complete the formalities and security checks.

5) Candidates are not allowed inside the exam centre/hall after the commencement of the test.

6) Candidates who violate the rules are dealt as per the test centre regulations.

7) Any candidate who uses unfair means will be dealt with according to the rules & regulations of the test centre.
