The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges to make the state’s health care systems at par with the premier health care institutions across the country. Government Medical College Kathua is one of the newly established medical college. Located at beautiful scenic village of Chak Sajjan in Kathua, it is situated at a distance of 4km from city of Kathua, which is both district & sub-district headquarter of Chak Sajjan village.

GNM Medical Rs. 27,000.00 Candidates must be at least 17 years old, have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 40% (for general category) to 50% marks (for reserved categories), with English and a Science stream including subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology being preferred.
