Government Arts and Science College, Kozhinjampara was established as a result of the relentless pursuit of the people and political leaders of the locality for a government college in the linguistic minority area of Kozhinjampara village. From its humble beginning in 2005, the college has consistently been growing by nurturing and cherishing the higher education aspirations of the local students. About 85% of the students are girls and around 90% of students come from the rural and backward areas. Almost 90% of the students’ study with the help of scholarships and grants in the form of fee concession from the Government. The college hostel for girls has the capacity to accommodate more than 60 students. The college library has nearly 11,000 books and a good number of periodicals in multiple languages including Tamil.
