Karpaga Vinayaga Nursing College, an educational family sponsored by the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust had its humble beginning in 2010 and it has now flourished into a well established institution as well as the Post Graduate status and high level institution of national repute with the vision of “Excellence in nursing education, practice, research, administration and innovation through high value systems for quality nursing care to compete globally in health care arena”. In connection to that plentiful steps are being assumed for multi dimensional augmentation of the institution towards the betterment of the health of the society. Karpaga Vinayaga Nursing College nurtures every individual through its State and National curriculum and maintains a sharp focus on the pursuit of knowledge, attitude and skills.
The B.Sc(N) and M.Sc(N) programmes were started in the year 2010 and 2011 with an intake capacity of 50 and 25 respectively. The Master of Science in nursing was started with 5 seats for each speciality namely Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obsteteric and Gynaecological Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing . KVCN strives to persuade and enable every student to develop their {her/his} full potential by providing a high quality stimulation to practice and conducive environment encircling a wide range of relevant activities with its optimal size composition of faculty and students. It provides an excellent infrastructure for students to develop their academic and communicative skills. The continuous nursing education and comprehensive assessment programme for UG & PG level students enhances their intellectual thinking. It ensures whole hearted participation of students in academic and co-curricular activities and exposes them to international standards.
