In 2013, the Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology was founded by the Uttar Pradesh government. It was a teaching and research university that was formed by reconstituting the 1962-established Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College. MMMUT is a NAAC-accredited institute with a Grade of "A" and is also recognized by UGC. The University is situated approximately 9 km from the Gorakhpur Railway Station on the Gorakhpur-Deoria road.

Apart from offering Undergraduate programs in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Information Technology, the university also provides Master's, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and Master of Arts degrees in a variety of specializations.

Guest House- The University features six well-furnished double-bed rooms in its Guest House. Five of these six rooms have air conditioning, while one is non-AC. The University's special invitees/guests, parents of students, and external examiners can all use the Guest House facilities.

Post Office- There is a post office (Pin: 273010) on campus that serves university workers, faculty, and students with postal services.
