Malineni Lakshmaiah Women's Engineering College is established in the year 2008. It is a self financing institution which owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of Malineni Perumallu Educational Society, Singarayakonda. The institution is ideally located in a vast expanse of 5.08 acres of land on the out skirts of GUNTUR city at a distance of about 6 Kms from the city centre. The departmental buildings are located in close proximity each other with wide open spaces all around. The playfields and other student and staff amenities are within working distances Sri. Malineni Lakshmaiah, a renowned Social worker, Cine Producer and Founder Chairman. To inculcate and promote technical education to the youth with rural background, the visionary has initiated Engineering Educational Institutions at his native village, Kanumalla, Singarayakonda (Mdl), Prakasam (Dt) in the year 1999. Now, the Society is being steered by Dr.Malineni Perumallu, as the ChairmanTo evolve into and sustain as a Centre of Excellence in Technical Education and research with a holistic approachOf late, he was honored with Excellence Award by Healthcare International, Hyderabad and he also received the prestigious Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Award in the year 2005 at New Delhi.He strongly believed that education is fundamental to the development and growth of any individual. He dreamt of educating and empowering women, who play a crucial role in moulding the character of a child and lay the foundation to morals and values that a child carries throughout its life.

    The education in my college is really good. The style of teaching and lab practical's make us learn the topic effectively. In every year they used review us C programming so that we won't forget the basics. I still remember my Java mam teaching with lively examples.
