In 2006, National Medical Commission, Erstwhile Medical Council of India & Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi awarded 100 MBBS Seats permission to start 100 MBBS seats in Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar vide Letter No. U.12012/238/2005-ME (P-II) dated 14.07.2006. At that time Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar was affiliated to CCS University, Meerut. The first batch of MBBS was admitted in 2006.
The College was recognized for 100 seats in 2011 vide Letter No. No.U.12012/238/2005-ME (P-II) Dated 24.05.2011, Further, the institute was granted permission vide Letter No. MCI-No. 37(1)/2012-Med./114865 Dated 29.06.2012 for increase in 50 MBBS Seats and therefore, 150 MBBS students were admitted in Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar in 2012.The College was recognized for 150 MBBS Seats in 2017 vide Letter No. No.U.12012/224/2015-ME.I[FTS.3 101873] Dated 05.05.2017. In 2023 National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India further granted permission for increase in 50 more MBBS seats to the institute vide Letter No. NMC/UGI/2023-24/000019/009799 Dated 03.03.2023.
