N.S.S. College, Ottappalam Info

N.S.S. College, Ottapalam, affiliated to the University of Calicut was born out of the dreams of the great visionary and social reformer, Bharata Kesari Sri. Mannath Padmanabhan. It was consecrated by Swami Vishadanandha, President of Sree Ramakrishna Ashram, Palappuram and was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Prabhakaran Thampan on 10th July 1961. In July 1962 it was upgraded and was shifted to the present site. The premises of the College consist mostly of land donated by Smt. K.P.S. Menon and Sri. Vapala Sankaranarayana Menon. There have been others too who must indeed be remembered with gratitude. At present this institution is a fully fledged Grade I College with 13 UG Programmes and 6 PG Programmes. College is Accredited by NAAC with grade A.
