Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College (SDUMC) is located in Tamaka, Kolar, Karnataka, approximately 5 kilometers from Kolar town and about 75 kilometers from Bangalore. Established in 1986 by the Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, the college is named in honor of the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Devaraj Urs, who was renowned for his social, political, and economic reforms in the state.
