Sri Sharada College Basrur, Kundapura, Udupi District is an esteemed institution of higher learning affiliated with Mangalore University. The college was founded by Sri Sharada College Trust (Regd), Basrur in 1972, to meet the demands of rural youth for University education. Since then it has been striving to empower the economically less fortunate and socially marginalised sections of the society with knowledge and skills required to face the challenges of the modern world. The Peer Team of NAAC visited the college on the 20th, and 21st of December 2022 for reaccreditation and was awarded B++ Grade under the new methodology.
