The devotees and well wishers of Sree Siddaganga Math resided in Tumkur town and neighbouring districts were very ambitious to start an Engineering college in Tumkur under the blessings and Presidentship of Dr.Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamigalu, President, Sree Siddaganga Math during the year 1961-62.

The Rev. Sree Sree Shivakumaraswamiji was already running a well known Sanskrit college in Sree Siddaganga Math and few high Schools and other educational institutions in Tumkur and around.
