The late Padmashri Bhausaheb Vartak was a visionary par excellence and a devoted social worker. He founded the Vidyavardhini in 1970 as an institution to provide an opportunity to all students in the vicinity of Vasai an affordable quality College Education which was the need of the hour. Today Vidyavardhini has grown into an institute of great repute with the most reputed and famous Junior College with the streams of Arts (Both Marathi and English Medium),Science, Commerce, M.C.V.C (All English medium) and three Degree Colleges, Engineering Degree College and B. V. Polytechnic offering Diplomas in various branches of Engineering.

Under the able guidance of the Ex President of Vidyavardhini Late Smt. Taramai Vartak and Late Shri. Pratapbhai Khokhani, Vidyavardhini has taken big strides and carved for itself a niche in Maharashtra as one of the best educational institutions. The aim of the institution is to provide not only quality education but a holistic development of personality of the student and make him a man of good culture.
