One of the six new Government Engineering Colleges established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology is Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE). It will begin its first academic year (2016–17) at Patliputra Colony, the former Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna site. On February 2, 2020, the BCE Bakhtiyarpur new campus was inaugurated. 

The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), located in New Delhi, has approved Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering, which is associated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), located in Patna. The institute provides a highly sought-after B.Tech programme in a variety of specializations.

Computer Lab- Modern, well-equipped laboratories are available at the college. By their respective disciplines, all of the labs and workshops are extremely roomy and furnished with sufficient tools to fulfil students' learning needs and support their research and development projects. High-speed internet connections abound in computer laboratories.

Library- Buildings at BCE with air conditioning and sufficient infrastructure to support students' needs are the library. Along with other resource materials, it includes an extensive library of text and reference books. 

Hostels- For boys, BCE offers hostel accommodations. Large rooms, regular room cleaning, and hygienic meals are all included. The prescribed form must be used to apply for admission to the hostel.
