Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College (HKRHC), established in 1956, is a renowned institution located in Uthamapalayam, Theni district, Tamil Nadu. The college was founded by Hajee Mohamed Meera Rowther, popularly known as Hajee Karutha Rowther.

In 2005, the college received the "BEST COLLEGE AWARD FOR COMMUNAL HARMONY" from Madurai Kamaraj University in Madurai. In the academic year 2013–2014, the UGC granted the college autonomous status. In 2022, NAAC (3 Cycle) re-accredited it with a "A++" grade.

HKRHC offers a wide range of programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. These include- B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com. The college also offers UGC-sponsored diploma courses such as Tailoring and Dress Designing, Mushroom Cultivation, Honeybee Rearing, and Plumbing Technician. Canteen- The institution features a well-established cafeteria on campus that provides instructors, staff, and students with all the food and refreshments they need at reasonable costs. The food supplied at the canteen is of higher quality and is cooked in a sanitary manner.

Post Office- Numerous postal and financial services, including speed post, registered post, electronic money orders (EMO), instant money orders (IMO), savings banks, RD accounts, PLI, e-payments, and more, are offered by the Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College Post Office. In order to assist our students, teachers, staff, and the community in the surrounding areas of the college, the India Post opened a post office on the campus.

Hostel- There are residence halls on campus at the college. Students benefit not only from studying but also from interacting with their peers. The principal, acting as warden, will oversee the hostel with the help of a deputy warden. HKRH College offers rooms that are large, well-ventilated, furnished, and equipped with all the conveniences that are required.

Language Lab- The Department of English's Language Laboratory, which has 20 computers, has been rebuilt. Its goal is to help students become proficient in using English. With 60 computers and software programs for student training, the lab is now fully furnished. Effective language instruction and the development of interactive and group communication skills are both greatly aided by the language lab. The students receive instruction in self-awareness, report and resume writing, career development, communication, and confidence building.

• All of the staircases have banisters for their safe passage.

• Wheel chairs are available to them for their usage whenever necessary.
