Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur – Scholarships

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur offers various scholarships to its students. Following is the list of some of the scholarships that are offered by IIT Kanpur.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: This scholarship is offered to meritorious students and provides financial assistance to needy and deserving students

• Donor Scholarships: Donor scholarships are offered to students based on their academic performance and financial need.

• INSPIRE Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students of B.S programs within the All India Rank (AIR) 10,000 as per Common Merit List (CML) in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics departments. Students receive an annual scholarship of INR 30,000 per semester (INR 60,000 annually), along with a research grant of INR 20,000.

• Sports Scholarships: IIT Kanpur offers a maximum of 20 scholarships per year in the amount of INR 1,000 per month for 9 months to students who show leadership in sports-related activities on campus leading to development, growth, and increased participation in various sporting activities.

• Academic Excellence Awards: The institute recognizes the academic achievements of its students in the form of several academic excellence awards. These awards are given to meritorious students of IIT Kanpur having a CPI of 8.5 and above in the previous academic year.
