The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (Formerly Kanpur University, Kanpur) was established in the year 1966. Prior to the establishment of the University, affiliation of colleges in its vicinity were to the Agra University. In the year 1949, the Radha Krishnan Commission suggested the establishment of a university in Kanpur with the aim of reducing the pressure on Agra University. To fulfil this demand, in the year 1966, the state government established Kanpur University under the Kanpur and Meerut Universities Act 1965 Kanpur University was initially established in a small house located on Parvati Bagla Road which was eventually shifted to Sarvodaya Nagar, Kanpur. In the year 1971-72, 264 acres of land by the side of GT road at Kalyanpur was purchased with the assistance of the State Government and Kanpur Municipal Corporation.Kanpur University was initially established in a small house located on Parvati Bagla Road which was eventually shifted to Sarvodaya Nagar, Kanpur.     Actually my college Chhatrapati shahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur Nagar is a very good college this university contains several program it has different department suggest English department MBA BBA BCA BTech and aTotal of 23 departments University conducts it's on campus placement in which students can apply for different top most companies such as TCS Wipro Infosys etc the highest placement of this universities 12.5 lpa and average is around 3.5 lpa the university infrastructure is also very good it has its own stadium and its cafeteria and very neat and clean University the university conduct placement for most of the courses such as LLB LLM BBA BCA MBA BTech AI etc the university also encourages students for sports. There have no ragging at all. And if the student to any kind of misbehaving or missed guiding in the university can face situation a tough situation and semester exams are not so tough but not so very easy they are moderate and they are they can be cracked easily studying and put your little effort . The university also encourages for fest and conduct extra curriculum activities
