Founded in 1999, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) became part of Nitte (Deemed to be University) in 2009. Named after its founder, the esteemed Late Justice K S Hegde, a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the academy is committed to producing skilled and compassionate professionals ready to meet future challenges with moral integrity.

Library- The K S Hegde Medical Academy boasts a well-equipped library spanning 2512 sq. meters, comfortably seating over 350 users. Its collection encompasses printed books, e-books, archived volumes, WHO publications, CDs/DVDs, including MEDLINE on CD-ROM, among other resources. The central library subscribes to both national and international journals in print and electronic formats. It is affiliated with the HELINET consortium and DELNET. The library houses 21,412 books, 142 print journals, approximately 3,819 e-books, and more.

Hostel- Hostel facilities are conveniently located on campus, near the college and hospital. Rooms are assigned to students upon admission and come furnished with a cot, cupboard, study table, and chair. Each hostel is equipped with solar water heaters, Wi-Fi, a common telephone, TV room, reading room, visitor's lounge, water coolers, generators, round-the-clock security, and surveillance cameras. Select hostels offer air-conditioned rooms. Additionally, the hostels provide indoor and outdoor gaming facilities.

Transport- The campus operates a fleet of buses and vans, offering complimentary transportation for students and staff.

Gymnasium- The air-conditioned multi-gymnasium, occupying a 5500 sq. ft space, is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving students and hostel residents. Three professional instructors oversee the use of equipment, including treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, rowing machines, and a comprehensive multi-gym.

Sports- The university features a basketball court, lawn tennis court, volleyball court, badminton court, and a football field. It also offers indoor game facilities such as chess, carrom, and table tennis.
