Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Coochbehar (previously known as Coochbehar Government Medical College and Hospital) is a new Government Medical Institute affiliated to WBUHS, established in this remote northern part of West Bengal in the district of Coochbehar. It started its humble begining in the year 2017-18 with the upgradation of the existing District Hospital (MJN Hospital).The institute started its official academic activities with the admission of the First batch of 100 MBBS students in 2019-20 session after having permission from the Medical Council of India.
