The National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension, from which MANAGE's acronym "MANAGE" derives, was created in 1987 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In 1992, its status was upgraded to that of a National Institute. India has developed MANAGE as a solution to the problems of agricultural extension. In 2018, MANAGE was honoured for their efforts after winning the “ Education Leadership Award”.  The ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare, the government of India, is associated with the National Institute Of Agricultural Extension Management, Hyderabad (MANAGE). In  2022 MANAGE, Hyderabad was ranked 9^th best among the colleges in Hyderabad according to the times.
