The University of Kalyani

 

The University of Kalyani was established in the year 1960. The university was established on 1 November 1960 by the Kalyani University Act 1960 of the state of West Bengal. Kalyani University is a state-government administered, affiliating and research university located in Kalyani, Nadia district of West Bengal, India. The University of Kalyani has been awarded A grade and was ranked 86 among universities in India by the NIRF in 2018. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. 44 colleges, 18 in Nadia, 25 in Murshidabad and 1 in North 24 Parganas, are affiliated to Kalyani University. Colleges are independent from the university but they follow the course curriculum of the university. This University has Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering-Technology & Management, Faculty of Arts & Commerce, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Music & Fine arts.
