The University of Gour Banga (UGB) is established by the West Bengal Act XXVI of 2007. This University is located at English Bazar Town of Malda District in West Bengal. It is one of the new state universities established by the Government of West Bengal in less educationally developed districts of Malda, Uttar Dinajpur and Dakshin Dinajpur.
