Placements: My experience with placements and job opportunities at BIT Mesra has been fulfilling. During my 8th semester, I interned at Studio Juggernaut in Delhi, gaining valuable real-world experience. The eligibility criteria for placements typically involve academic performance, technical skills, communication skills, and extracurricular activities. Companies like M Moser, Homelane, Asian Paints, and Arcop have started recruiting from the architecture department, with placements ongoing. For architecture profiles, the average package ranges from 3.5 to 6 LPA, while UI/UX roles may offer slightly higher packages of 7 to 9 LPA. Around 65% of students secure on-campus placements, promising opportunities for career growth. Personally, I plan to pursue a career in design, working for a year or two after completing my B.Arch before pursuing a Master's in Design (M.Des.) through CEED. Overall, BIT Mesra offers promising placement opportunities, and I'm excited about my future in design. During my 8th semester at BIT Mesra, I interned at Studio Juggernaut in Delhi as part of the B.Arch curriculum. At that time, we had to apply for off-campus placements as there was no placement and training cell for the architecture department. However, starting this year, the architecture department has its own TNP cell, which is a great development. During my internship, I primarily worked on residential and industrial-scale projects, collaborating with architects, using Revit for design, attending client meetings, and conducting site visits. Additionally, I assisted a professional architectural photographer's team with a project shoot, gaining insights into documentation and presentation. I was fortunate to receive a stipend, enhancing the experience. Overall, the internship provided invaluable real-world experience, applying my architectural knowledge and skills professionally.
