Late H H Shrimant Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj of Kolhapur founded the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) in 1917 to further the admirable goal of education. A coeducational institute, the AISSMS COE, Pune was founded in 1992.
