QS World University rankings are awarded based on the following components/attributes for top Universities by subject. They are:

Employer Reputation: This is intended to assess the preparedness of the Institute/School to provide competent, innovative, and effective students for their successful careers post-study.
International Student ratio and International Faculty Ratio: This component is intended to survey on the strengths of the University in providing a multinational environment and global awareness to the students in shaping them to demonstrate a high ability in their international skills developed through experienced International Faculty to shoulder the current challenges in the international job markets.
Research Citations per faculty: This component is intended to measure the research quality of the University with a citation per faculty metric taking the total number of academic citations in Papers submitted by a university in a 5-year period.
