KCET 2017 Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state level entrance test conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Government of Karnataka for the admissions to the professional courses like Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Engineering/Technology, Architecture, B.Pharma, Pharm-D, etc for the seats to be notified by the Government in the educational institutions present in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2017-18. KCET 2017 online applications are made available from 27th January 2017.

KCET 2017 Notification:

The notification of KCET 2017 for admissions into UG courses for academic year 2017-18 will be released on 24th January 2017.

KCET 2017 Exam is scheduled on 2nd May 2017 and 3rd May 2017.

KCET 2017 Eligibility:

1) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

2) Candidates should pass the qualifying examination listed in KCET 2017 Notification. Candidate who passed from Karnataka State Open University are not eligible.

3) Candidate who are appearing in the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC / 12th Std. in 2017 whose result is awaited are also eligible to apply and appear in the exam, however he/she will not be eligible for admission unless they pass the qualifying examination with required pass percentage of marks.

4) Eligibility, admissions, and allotments made to and by the colleges shall be subject to approval by MCI / DCI / AICTE / COA / CCIM / Government / concerned University / Apex Bodies etc

KCET 2017 Exam Pattern:

1) The exam will be held in 2 days in 4 different sessions for four subjects.

2) Each paper / subject exam is held for duration of 80 minutes.

3) Examination will be conducted in Offline Mode: Pen & Paper Based Test (OMR).


5) All questions are of objective type only.

6) The question paper in each subject will be in 16 different versions.

7) Each paper / subject is held for 60 marks.

KCET 2017 Exam Schedule:

KCET 2017 entrance exam is a two exam and is scheduled to be held on 2nd May 2017 and 3rd May 2017.

Kannada Language test will be held on 4th May 2017 only in Bangalore.

Practical Examination for Agriculturist Quota will be held on 20th May 2017.

Practical test fee is paid at the respective Practical Test Centre on the day of verification of documents in the form of Demand Draft drawn in the favour of Comptroller of the respective university.

How to Apply:

1) Application should be submitted through online mode only. For Online submission, visit the official website.

2) Candidate must first register in the official website with required details.

3) Once registered, candidate can login and start filling the online application form.

4) Candidates have to fill with personal, academic details and save the application form at regular intervals.

5) Upload the scanned images of Photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression and parent signature.

6) Take the print out of the challan and pay the fee at any branch of the specified banks or e-post office.

7) Candidate have to take the print out of the filled in application form and obtain principal seal and signature of their 12th Std / 2nd PUC college and preserve it for verification.

KCET 2017 Syllabus:

The syllabus for KCET 2017 entrance exam will be based on 1st and 2nd PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. The syllabus is comprised from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

KCET 2017 Hall Tickets:

KCET 2017 Hall tickets will be available from 3rd week of April 2017 tentatively in the KCET 2017 official website. KEA announces the date to download the Hall tickets later. Hall tickets will contain information like candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time and venue details. Candidate has to download the hall ticket from KCET 2017 official website. Hall ticket will NOT be sent in post or mail to candidate.

KCET 2017 Results & Rank Card:

The KCET 2017 results will release on last week May 2017 tentatively through official portal. Score/Rank card will be available after the release of results. Candidates can check and download the results and rank card from KCET official website. Rank card will NOT be sent in post or mail to candidate.

KCET 2017 Counselling:

KCET 2017 Counselling will start from the 2nd week of June 2017. Candidates will be called according to their marks and ranks obtained in the exam. Candidates must carry their original documents for verification as per schedule. Seat allotment is based on ranks obtained, filled choices and seat availability. Candidates who are not satisfied can participate in other counselling rounds.

iii) 2nd PUC/12th Class mark sheet

iv) Copy of filled in KCET 2017 application form

vi) Caste certificate, if applicable

KCET 2017 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for KCET, must apply through online only.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Centre well before so that you can take examination tension-free.

3) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.

4) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet after the test. Other page in OMR sheet can be taken by the candidate for reference of his/her answers.

5) The Question booklet code, Hall Ticket Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared, if any will be cancelled subsequently in such cases.

6) Candidate must carry Black/Blue Ball Point Pens, to mark the answers.

7) Affix a recent color photograph (3.5cms x 3.5cms) in the box provided on the Filled in Online Application Form and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer / Principal of the college where studied.

8) The candidate has to submit the Filled in Online Application Form at the time of verification of documents.
