KMAT 2017 Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for admission into post graduate professional courses like MBA, PGDM and MCA offered by the AICTE approved University affiliated B-Schools present in Bangalore and Karnataka. KMAT entrance exam is held in many cities of India and is open for all the students of India and also for abroad students provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria given for KMAT.

KMAT 2017 Notification:

KMAT 2017 notification is expected to release on the month March 2017 tentatively.

Online/Offline Applications will be made available from April 2017 tentatively.

KMAT 2017 Eligibility:


1) Candidate should hold a Bachelors degree with minimum duration of 3 years (or) Masters Degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, and Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology or equivalent from any recognized University/college/institution/education body.

2) Candidates of general category should have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate. For SC/ST category candidates, it is reduced to 45% of marks in the aggregate.

3) Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.


1) Bachelor's degree with 50% marks.

2) Candidates should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.

KMAT 2017 Exam Pattern:                                        Duration: 2 Hours

1) Mode: Paper Pen based test.

2) Duration: 2 Hours.

3) There are a total of 120 questions, all in objective type only .i.e. Multiple Choice Questions. Each question carries 4 marks.

4) The question paper is for 480 marks.

5) There are 4 sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness.

6) There is no restriction to switch from one section to other within the time limit.

7) There is negative marking, for every wrong answer 1 mark is deducted.

KMAT 2017 Exam Schedule:

KMAT 2017 entrance exam is expected to be held in the last week of May 2017. The exam is for 2 hours of duration with 120 questions divided into 4 sections with a total of 480 marks. Candidates can find more details about the exam on the release of official notification.

KMAT 2017 Registration/Application Form:

Candidates can register of KMAT 2017 in both online and offline.

1) Candidates have to visit KMAT 2017 official website and click on “Apply Now”.

2) Fill the required details like personal and academic details, select test centre etc.

3) Pay the registration fee of Rs 1000 /- through online Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/Demand Draft.

4) Once candidate successfully pay the registration fee and submits the registration form, he/she will receive a unique id on registered email.

5) If applied through offline, paste recent size photograph & sign in the space provided for signature and post or courier the application along with original DD to below mentioned address.

KMAT 2017 Admit Cards:

KMAT 2017 Admit cards will be available from 3rd week of May 2017 tentatively in the KMAT 2017 official website. Admit cards will contain information like candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time and venue details. Candidate has to download the hall ticket from KMAT 2017 official website. Hall ticket will NOT be sent in post or mail to candidate.

KMAT 2017 Results & Rank Card:

The KMAT 2017 results will release on 2nd week of June 2017 tentatively through official portal. Score/Rank card will be available after the release of results. Candidates can check and download the results and rank card from KMAT official website. Rank card will NOT be sent in post or mail to candidate.

KMAT 2017 Admission Process:

There is no separate counselling procedure for KMAT 2017. Candidates have to apply separately for the participating institutions. Institutions shortlist the candidates after the announcement of results. Every institution will be having their own admission procedure. Some institutions may conduct Group discussion and interviews also.

KMAT 2017 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for KMAT, must apply through online and offline.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Centre well before so that you can take examination tension-free.

3) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.

4) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet after the test. Other page in OMR sheet can be taken by the candidate for reference of his/her answers.

5) The Question booklet code, Hall Ticket Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared, if any will be cancelled subsequently in such cases.

6) Candidate will have to paste his/her passport size photograph as uploaded on the registration form in the space provided on the Admit Card.

7) Candidates are required to report 1 hour before the scheduled start time of the test for the verification & security check.

8) Candidates should carry the following to the test venue

a) Admit Card duly completed with photograph and your valid photo ID proof

b) Black & Blue ball point pen; HB Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener.
