GPAT 2018 Graduate Pharmacy Admission Test (GPAT) is a national wide entrance exam which is conducted for Pharmacy graduates for admissions into Master’s (M.Pharm) program of various pharmacy colleges in India. GPAT is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per regulations of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Govt of India.

GPAT 2018 Notifications:

GPAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

GPAT 2018 Registration and Application Form:

Registration Fee: NON REFUNDABLE

General/OBC: Rs 1400/-

SC/ST/PwD category: Rs 700/-

  1. Candidates have to register with basic details.
  2. Once registered, candidate receives a 6 digit unique password.
  3. Login using e-mail id and password
  4. Pay the fee as prescribed through online/offline.
  5. Once payment is successful, complete the rest of the form and submit.
  6. Once submitted, changes in application are not entertained.

GPAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must check their eligibility before applying for GPAT 2018.

  1. Candidates who intend to appear for GPAT 2018 must be a citizen of India.
  2. Candidate must be a graduate in Pharmacy (4 years).
  3. Students who are in the final year of B.Pharmacy are eligible.

GPAT 2018 Exam Pattern:

  1. Mode of Exam: Computer based test
  2. Question Paper consists of a total of 125 questions.
  3. Question Paper is a total of 500 marks.
  4. Duration of test is 180 minutes (3 hours).
  5. Each question carries 4 marks.
  6. Negative Marking:1 mark is deducted for wrong answer.

A Trial test will be available from 15th December 2016 onwards for the candidates to have a practice of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go through them carefully.

At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.

GPAT 2018 Admit Card:

Candidates can download the GPAT 2018 admit cards from 2nd week of January 2018.  Admit card will be sent to the email id provided at the time of registration. The admit card will contain photo, name, and signature of the candidate, GPAT Roll Number, test date, time, reporting time at the venue, venue name, venue address, and instructions for the candidate. All candidates note that admit card is mandatory requirement to take the test.

GPAT 2018 Results & Score Card

GPAT 2018 results are expected to release on 2nd week of February 2018.All the AICTE approved institutions/colleges/universities accept GPAT scores. The GPAT 2018 scores are valid only for admissions to academic year 2018-19. Candidate can download the score cards from official website.

GPAT 2018 General Instructions:

1) Candidate must have basic familiarity with computers, keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing in the test and the Institute cannot take responsibility for the same.

2) Calculators and logarithmic tables are not allowed in the test centres. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles.

3) Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required.

4) Anyone violating the rules of the test centre will not be allowed to continue with the test and will automatically be disqualified.

5) The candidate must fully obey the rules of the test centres; otherwise he/she will be automatically debarred from the test.

Identification Documents required are,

1) Self Attested copy of GPAT 2018 Admit Card with recent passp ort size photo pasted on it.

2) At least one original and valid photo identification. Name on the GPAT Application must match with name on the photo identification.

3) Photo identifications accepted are Driver’s License, Passport, Pan Card, Voter Id, UID Card, notarized affidavit (in English) with photo, signature, date of birth, and residential address.

4) SC/ST candidates must bring the valid caste certificate in original and an attested photocopy.

5) Physically disabled candidates are required to bring the valid Disability Certificate in original and an attested photocopy.

6) Attestation can be done by Institute Head also.

FAQ:

Q1. Can I take the test from any computer?

Ans. NO.  Candidate will have to take the test on the pre-assigned computer at the test centre only.

Q2. Is there any age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2018?

Ans. NO. There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2018.

Q3. How to pay my registration fee?

Ans. Candidates are required to pay the fee through online or challan/cash at any SBI branch.

Q4. Can I choose the test city?

Ans. Yes. Candidates can choose up to 3 test cities as their preference. However, actual allotment will be subject to availability of the slot in that particular city.

Q5. When will I get my admit card?

Ans. You can download and print the admit cards from 2nd week of January 2018.

Q6. What is the reporting time for the test?

Ans. Candidates are required arrive at the test centre on or before 01:00PM for security checks, identity verification, and check-in.

Q7. What is the identification documents required to be carried to the test centre?
