MAT 2017 Management Admission Test (MAT) is a national wide entrance exam conducted to get admission in the Business Schools (B-Schools) across the India for management courses like MBA. MAT is conducted four times in a year by All India Management Association (AIMA) in the month of February, May, September, and December. In the year 2003 Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development approved MAT as national level test. MAT February 2017 registrations have been started from 12th December 2016 and the last date for registration is 27th January 2017 Friday (02:00PM).

MAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
i) Candidates who hold graduate degree in any discipline are eligible.
ii) Candidates who are in final year of their graduate courses are also eligible.
iii) There is no age limitation.
iv) The percentage criteria vary from one Management Institute (MI) to other Management Institute (MI).
v) Work experience is not necessary.
vi) No restriction for number of attempts. MAT is scheduled four times in a year February, May, September, and December.

MAT 2017 Exam Pattern:
a) Mode of Exam: Pen & Paper based test (PBT) and Computer based test (CBT)
b) There are a total of 200 questions in the question paper with duration of 150 minutes.
c) There five sections in question paper.
d) Each question carries 1 mark.
e) Negative Marking: ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
f) Subjects: Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical skills, Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.

MAT 2017 Registration and Application Form:
Registration Fee: NON-REFUNDABLE
All the candidates who are aspired to appear in MAT 2017 must pay the registration fees of Rs 1200 /-
Payment can be done through Demand Draft and also by Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking.
1. Candidates have to first register themselves by creating a new login.
2. Fill the required details to register and then submit the registration form. Once the form submitted, no changes can be done.
3. Candidate receives confirmation of registration in his/her mail entered.
4. Once registered, candidate can login by using email and date of birth.
5. Complete the application form with all required details.
6. Upload the images of photograph and signature (Optional).
7. Pay the prescribed fee.
8. Candidate has to retain a print out of the application.

MAT 2017 Admit Card:
Registered candidates can download their Admit Card from AIMA on or after 28 January 2017 (Saturday). Admit card will not be sent by post or email. Admit Card contains Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted.
MAT 2017 Results & Score Card
MAT 2017 results are expected to be release within a month both completing the examination in both two modes. MAT score is valid for one year. Candidates can download the MAT 2017 score card after the announcement of the results. Any B-School national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.
MAT 2017 General Instructions:
1) Candidates have to report at the test centre at least 45 minutes before the start of examination.
2) No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall/centre 15 minutes after commencement of exam.
3) Admit card, Ball point pen, HB pencil, Eraser and Sharpener are the only things allowed inside test centre.
4) Calculators, mobile, electronic gadgets etc are not permitted inside the examination hall.
5) Question paper will be in English only
6) AIMA has the right to cancel the entry to test/admission/holding results of any candidate who uses unfair means during test.
7) Test duration is 150 minutes.

Q1. When & how many times MAT is conducted in a year? Qualification & percentage needed for it.
Ans. MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December. The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent recognized degree. A final year student in any undergraduate (i.e. B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., etc) can also appear provisionally. Usually, there is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation, which is different for different MIs/University. For this refer to the prospectus of the particular MIs/University.
Q2. What is the mode of test?
Ans. Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test: Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test.
Q3. What are the test dates and timings of the test?
Ans. The Paper Based Test is being conducted on the first Sunday of the February, May, September and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) and in different Time slots.
Q4. What is the validity of MAT score?
Ans. Validity of the MAT score is for that particular session for most MI’s is one year.
Q5. Is there any age bar for it? Any Job experience required to appear in MAT?
Ans. There is no age bar. Job experience is not necessary.
Q6. How to get the MAT Score Card?
Ans. The Score Card is put on the AIMA website during last week of the month of the test. Candidate can download his/her score card with his 6 digits Registration Form Number and 9 digits Roll NO from AIMA website. Individual copy of Score Card with photograph is also sent through normal post at the address given on the Registration Form.
