AP EAMCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2019 provide details about requirements related to nationality, domicile, academic qualification and age. As per AP EAMCET eligibility criteria, students who will complete 16 years of age as on December 31, 2019, are eligible to appear in the entrance test. Candidates who are planning to appear in the entrance examination must read AP EAMCET 2019 eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.

AP EAMCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Candidates must be of Indian nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.

Domicile:  Candidates must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana. They should also satisfy Local/Non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana states.

Age Limit: The age requirement defined for candidates applying for the entrance test for admission into different B.Tech courses are given below:

a)Engineering: Candidates must complete 16 years of age on December 31, 2019. There is no upper age limit.

b) Dairy Technology, Ag. Engineering, FS & T and B.Sc. In Agr. Engg: Candidates must complete 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019. The upper age limit is 22 years for all the candidates except candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe whose upper age limit is 25 years.

Academic Qualification: JNTU, Kakinada has defined AP EAMCET 2019 eligibility criteria related to academic requirements that candidates need to meet. Applicants must satisfy any of the following requirements to be eligible for the entrance test:

Final year of intermediate examination- Applicants must have passed or must be appearing in 10+2 exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education and Technology. The vocational courses must be conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from 2001 onwards.

Diploma courses: Candidates who have qualified the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering are also eligible to apply for the common entrance test. The diploma examination must be conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Equivalent examination: Candidates qualifying in any other examination recognized as equivalent by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana are eligible.

Minimum qualifying marks: In the qualifying examination, candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the specified subjects taken together. However, applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste must obtain 40%.
