Steps to Download UGC NET admit card

Candidates are required to follow the given steps to download UGC NET admit card.

  • Visit the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  • Click on the link “Download Admit Card for UGC NET 2026”.
  • Login using:
  • Application Number
  • Date of Birth / Password
  • Enter the security pin (captcha code).
  • Click on Submit.
  • Your admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download and take a printout

On the exam day, candidates must carry

Ques.1 When will the UGC NET 2026 admit card be released?

Ans. The admit card for the June session is expected to be released in the third week of August 2026 and for the December session in the fourth week of December 2026. Admit cards are typically made available online a few days before the exam date.

Ques.2 What documents do I need to carry to the exam center along with my admit card?

Ans. Candidates are required to carry following documents  along with admit card-

  • Printout of the UGC NET Admit Card.
  • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.).
  • Passport-sized photograph (same as used in the application)

Ques.3 Is the exam city slip different from the admit card?

Ans. Yes, the exam city slip, which is released a few days before the admit card, only informs you of the city where your exam is scheduled. The admit card includes detailed information about your center, date, and time for the test.

Ques.3 Is a black-and-white print of the admit card  acceptable?

Ans. Yes, but a colour printout is strongly recommended for clearer verification.

Ques.5 Do I need to sign the admit card before the exam?

Ans. No, you must sign it only in front of the invigilator on exam day.
