AP PGCET 2026 Syllabus

The AP PGCET 2026 syllabus has been designed to assess a candidate’s ability to grasp the fundamental concepts and problem-solving skills in their chosen field of study. The syllabus is further divided into two main sections.

General Section (Common for All Disciplines):

Following is a detailed syllabus breakdown for the major streams, based on the latest information for AP PGCET 2026.

Engineering Mathematics (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, ECE):

  • Linear Algebra: Matrix algebra, systems of linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
  • Calculus: Single variable functions, limits, continuity, differentiability, mean value theorems, definite/integrals, partial derivatives, maxima/minima, vector calculus (gradient, divergence, curl), line/surface/volume integrals, Stokes, Gauss, and Green's theorems.
  • Differential Equations: First order (linear/nonlinear), higher order with constant coefficients, Cauchy’s/Euler’s equations, initial/boundary value problems, Laplace transforms, solutions to heat/wave/Laplace equations.
  • Complex Variables: Analytic functions, Cauchy’s theorem, Taylor/Laurent series.
  • Probability and Statistics: Probability, sampling theorems, conditional probability, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, random variables, distributions (exponential, Poisson, normal, binomial).
  • Numerical Methods: Solutions to linear/nonlinear equations, integration methods, single/multi-step methods for differential equations.
