Chandigarh University Creates History with 13 Students Selected for Prestigious Ministry of Law & Justice Internship

 

Chandigarh University has yet again reiterated its commitment towards academic excellence and professional success with another great achievement from its University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS). In a historic achievement, 13 final year law students from UILS have been selected for the prestigious Internship Programme of the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India.

 

Of the total 50 students selected from across the country, 13 are from Chandigarh University's UILS, which makes it one of the highest selections from any law institute in India.

 

This great achievement is a reflection of the excellent academic foundation, legal training, and future professional development of students at the institute.

 

Internship Programme offered by the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, is considered as one of the most challenging opportunities for future legal professionals in the country. The program provides the selected students an exposure to policy-making, legislative drafting, constitutional affairs, legal research and understanding of legal system of India. During this internship, the selected students get an opportunity to work with senior officials and legal experts of the nation.

 

This great achievement stands out as a reflection of the academic excellence and industry-aligned education provided at the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS). The institute ensures academic learning of the students along with experiential learning through moot court competitions, legal aid work, legal research projects, internships, and interaction with eminent legal professionals.
