Established in 1981, B.N.S. Law College Daltonganj is located in the centre of Daltonganj Town. It stands as one of the oldest institutions providing legal education in the former state of Bihar, now in Jharkhand, and is a pioneering establishment in the Chotanagpur Region.

Initially affiliated with Ranchi University Ranchi, the college later became associated with N.P. University Daltonganj and received approval from the Bar Council of India (BCI). BNS Law College offers a three-year Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B).
