Himgiri Zee University (formerly Himgiri Nabh Vishwavidyalaya) is located in the scenic city of  Uttarakhand, Dehradun, which is an ideal place for educational purposes and free from pollution. This campus is spread over 50 acres of land and came into existence in the year 2003. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission, NCTE, PCI & BCI have also accredited it. Shri Subhash Chandra, Chairman, of Essel Group of Industries and Zee Telefilms, had assembled a group of dedicated Anthropologists, Sociologists, Economists, and Development Communications Professionals to set up TALEEM Research Foundation in Ahmedabad in 1995 to make a positive difference in education and employment. Himgiri Zee University’s establishment was one of TALEEM Research Foundation’s goals.

HZU was founded with the goal of vocationalizing higher education, which has a national character and a transnational jurisdiction, following the slogan “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world as a Family).

For UG- 

• B.Sc- candidate must be passed10+2 with PCB/PCM/ Agriculture stream with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate
• B.Tech- candidates should pass in 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM.

• BCA/B.A/BBA/B.Com/BHM- candidates should pass in 10+2.

• B.Ed- candidates should have a graduation/post-graduation degree with a 50% mark, with 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

• LLB- candidates must be passed graduation with a minimum of 45% marks (general) and 40% marks (SC/ST).

• B.Pharma- Candidates must be passed 10+2 with PCB/PCM with 50% marks.

For PG-

• M.Sc- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

• M.A/MBA – Candidates must have a graduation degree.

• LLM- Graduation with minimum 45% marks (general) and 40% marks (SC/ST)

• D.Pharma- 10+2 with PCM/PCB with 50% marks.

For Ph.D.- Master's degree in a concerned stream with a minimum of 55% marks.

Diploma in Hotel Management- candidates must be passed 10+2
