The college operates under the administration of the Society of Catechist Sisters of St. Ann, Hyderabad, and is affiliated with Osmania University. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12(B), the institution has grown from an initial cohort of 90 students to a current strength of approximately 2,500.

In terms of accreditations and recognitions, St. Pious X Degree & PG College for Women was first accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2013.
