Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national level entrance test led on rotational premise by ten focal colleges and Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) for confirmation in UG, PG, and PhD courses offered in these organizations. The organizing college was Central University of Rajasthan. The selection test is directed at various focuses the nation over. The organizing college for every year welcomes applications from trying understudies.

The ten colleges are: Central University of Haryana, South Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Jammu, Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. CUCET 2018 Application Form

The Application Form for CUCET 2018 will be available from the first week of April 2018. The application must be filled in online and submitted along with fees before the first week of May 2018.

Here are some of the steps that a candidate must follow:

  • Visit the official portal of CUCET 2018 and go to 'Apply'
  • Select the level of program – UG, PG, or research
  • Fill in your personal details like name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth, and password.
  • You will receive a confirmation message and mail on your registered mobile number and email address respectively.
  • Now, you will have to fill in the online application form for CUCET 2018
  • Upload your photo and signature. Go through the guidelines to upload your signature and photograph before filling the application.
  • You can register for up to three courses in the selected program in each university. An add-on fee may be applied in case you want to apply additional (extra) course(s).
  • Make payment after checking all the filled details

CUCET Eligibility Criteria 2018



Central University of Jammu:


Computer Science & Technology:

B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology or MCA or M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT with minimum 60% marks at their graduation Level (55% for SC/ST/PwD category candidates However, Preference shall be granted to the candidates with valid GATE score.

Central University of Kashmir:

B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology  Information Technology/Electronics and communication Engineering through regular course of studies from an UGC/AICTE approved Institute with minimum 55 %  marks (50 marks for ST/SC/PWD) in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA or M.Sc. IT/MCA through regular courses of studies from an UGC/AICTE approved Institute with minimum 55% marks (50% marks forSC/ST/PWD)in the degree level examination or equivalent CGPA at both the levels. Candidates should have valid GATE score. However in case of non-availability of aspirants with valid GATE score, the no-GATE score aspirants may also be considered for admission.

Central University of Punjab:

·         B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering

·         Computer Science & Technology/ Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics

Computer Science & Technology:

Communication from a recognised Indian or Foreign

Cyber Security):

University with at least 55% marks. Preference shall be given to Candidates with Valid GATE Score.

Food Technology:

B.Tech./B.E. Degree in Dairy Technology/ Food Technology/ Food Processing Technology/Food Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering/ Chemical Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent in Aggregate

Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ):

M.Sc. Physics/ Chemistry/ Applied Physics/ Applied Chemistry/ Material Science/ Nano Science/ Nano

Material Science:

Technology/ B.E./ B.Tech (Except Computer Science/ IT) With minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination for General Category, 55% marks for OBC Category and 50% marks for SC/ST Category candidates. The candidates must not have completed 30 years of age as on 01-07-2018.

CUCET 2018 Exam Pattern

Type of Question: Multiple Choice Questions

Parts: The exam will be conducted in two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B.

Part-A: This section contains topics from English language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.

Part-B: This part has been divided into three sections and consists of total 75 MCQs from the domain knowledge.

Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.

Exam Mode: The exam will be organized through offline mode.

Marking Scheme: Three marks will be given for each correct answer.

Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Pattern: The exam will be conducted in OMR pattern.

CUCET 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus for CUCET exam will vary according the courses selected by the students. The syllabus has been divided into two parts like Part A and Part B. Part A will contain topics from general awareness, mathematical aptitude, English language and analytical skills. Part B will have topics from the domain or courses selected by the students.

CUCET 2018 Admit Card

Successfully registered candidates will be able to download the CUCET Hall Ticket 2018 via from the first week of May 2018. Candidates note down it is mandatory to bring the admit card at the exam centre. The admit card will be available through the website.

Steps to download CUCET 2018 Admit Card

  • Go to the CUCET website
  • Click on the message “Admit cards for CUCET-2018 has been uploaded, please click here to download”
  • Enter application number, password, and verification code
  • Click submit and download the card.

CUCET 2018 Result

Candidates can expect CUCET 2018 Results in the month of June. Students can check their result online on the official website of CUCET. Follow the below steps to check and download your exam result.

  • Go to the official website of CUCET 2018
  • Click on the ‘Download the CUCET Result 2018’ link
  • Enter details such as registration number, password, and date of birth.
  • Click submit
  • Result will be displayed on the screen
  • Print your score card for future references.

CUCET Counselling 2018

The counselling process will be commenced after the release of merit list. Students can participate in the counselling process as per their rank in the merit list. During the counselling process, candidates have to fill their preferences of colleges & course.
