32 tech colleges have no students

The number of colleges with zero admissions more than doubled from 13 to 32 at the end of the final phase of Eamcet engineering counselling.

The number of colleges with 1-5 admissions now stands at 20 to 23. The seat allotment list was announced on 29th September.

The number of vacant seats has increased to 1.10 lakh from 1.08 lakh, of the total 2.34 lakh seats. Of the 1, 10,450 seats that found no takers, 1, 02,105 are for engineering and 8,345, pharmacy. Spot admissions for vacant seats will be done by the respective colleges from October 8 to 23.Students have to download the allotment order from ?Candidates Login? by entering their registration number, hall ticket number, password and date of birth and the bank challan form for the payment of fee, if any.

The fee has to be paid in Indian Bank or Andhra Bank. For students who are eligible for fee reimbursement, no challan has to be downloaded. The candidates have to report at the college on or before October 5. Candidates wishing to cancel their admission have to approach the helpline centres to collect their certificates by October 7.Students who want to cancel their seats after October 7 have to obtain a no-objection certificate from the college where they have reported and take their certificates at Sanketika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, after October 10.
