60,000 Teacher's Posts to be filled soon

The government is all set to issue a notification, probably within a day or two, for filling up of 60,000 posts of teachers across the state. The idea is to complete the recruitment process before the end of current academic year so that 60,000 more teachers would be available for teaching from the first day of the next academic year.
Sources in the education department said the process has been set in motion to issue the notification and that the finance department has given its clearance following directions from Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to ensure that 1.16 lakh posts are filled up in all departments by yearend. Education department officials have expedited the process, stating that as many as 12,351 teachers' posts would be filled up in 355 model schools, 1401 in tribal welfare residential schools and nearly 40,000 posts in government schools under the control of the school education department.One of the main eligibility criteria for selection of candidates would be a qualification in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Even the DSC notification will be issued before Sankranti festival.
