A first for Kannur University: Kannur University has been granted with its first global science and innovation research program as a major aspect of the India-Mexico International Science and Technology Cooperation.
Instruction News Announcing this, a college official statement said that an exploration proposition considered and proposed by a group drove by A. Sabu of the college's Department of biotechnology and microbiology alongside S. Shiburaj and N.S. Pradeep, researchers from the microbiology division of Tropical Botanical Garden and Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram, was endorsed together by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the Mexican National Agency for Science and Technology.
The working together Mexican group is driven by Cristobal, Director and Dean of School of Chemical Sciences, Autonomous University of Coahuila.
Amid the time of coordinated effort, the Indo-Mexican group will center their examination chip away at separation of novel microbial strains from Mexican deserts and the Western Ghats in the State for the creation of pharmaceutically and modernly critical chemicals. The Kannur University group would work with the Mexican researchers and the Mexican group will likewise come to Kannur to trade know-how and materials, the public statement said.
College Vice Chancellor M.K. Abdul Khader said the new global project was another breakthrough for the college subsequent to winning the acknowledgment by National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
