Andhra University students, scholars call off Samaikya strike

Andhra University Samaikyandhra Vidyardhi and scholars called off strike on Saturday. AU vice-chancellor Prof G.S.N. Raju gave lemon juice to the agitating students to break their fast.The Andhra University Scholars and Students announced that they had stopped the strike. The vice-chancellor appreciated the scholars, students and teachers of Andhra University Samaikyandhra Front for staging peaceful agitation in support of united Andhra. Rector Prof E.A. Narayana, Registrar Prof K. Rama Mohan Rao and Estate Officer Prof Yalamanchili Satyanarayana and other officials were present.
