The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2026 schedule has been officially announced, with exams set to begin in mid-May. The entrance test is conducted for admissions into professional courses across the state and will be held separately for Engineering and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams.

According to the schedule, the Engineering stream examinations will take place from May 12 to May 15, followed by an additional session on May 18, 2026. The Agriculture and Pharmacy exams are slated for May 19 and 20, 2026 respectively.

Registration Timeline and Key Dates

The application process for AP EAPCET 2026 began on February 4 and is ongoing. Candidates were initially allowed to apply without a late fee until March 24 2026, with the deadline extended from earlier dates. Those who missed the standard deadline can still submit applications by paying late fees, with the final submission window closing on April 10, 2026, with a maximum late fee of INR 10,000.

Applicants will be able to make corrections to their submitted forms between April 11 and April 13. Hall tickets has been scheduled for release on April 28 2026, while results are expected to be announced around June 1, 2026.

Strong Participation Expected After 2025 Trends

The entrance exam continues to witness high participation levels. In 2025, over 3.62 lakh candidates had registered for AP EAPCET. Out of these, approximately 3.40 lakh students appeared for the test, and more than 2.57 lakh students were qualified.

The Agriculture and Pharmacy streams recorded a significantly higher pass percentage of 89.80%, compared to 71.65% in the Engineering stream. The overall pass percentage stood at 75.67%, reflecting steady performance across categories.

Counselling Likely to Begin in June–July

Following the declaration of results, the counselling process is expected to begin in June or early July 2026 under the supervision of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

Candidates will need to pay a counselling processing fee to participate. The fee is INR 1,200 for General (OC) and Backward Class (BC) candidates, while Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates are required to pay INR 600. Payments are made available to be transacted in online mode through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Top Engineering Colleges Remain Competitive

Based on previous years’ trends, several institutions continue to be highly sought after by candidates.

For Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), leading choices include JNTU Kakinada and Andhra University College of Engineering, both known for strong placement records and competitive closing ranks. Among private institutions, GMR Institute of Technology remains to be a preferred option among the aspirants.

In Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), SVU College of Engineering in Tirupati, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, and SRKR Engineering College are among the top choices.

For core branches such as Civil and Mechanical Engineering, institutions like JNTU Anantapur and VR Siddhartha Engineering College continue to attract applicants.

In the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University and Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College are leading institutions for agriculture, while AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and JNTUK School of Pharmaceutical Sciences are prominent in pharmacy education.

Document Verification Mandatory for Counselling

Candidates attending counselling must carry original documents along with at least two sets of photocopies. Required documents include – AP EAPCET rank card, hall ticket, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, study certificates, and valid ID proof such as Aadhaar.

Category certificates (SC/ST/BC/EWS), income certificates, and special category documents (such as NCC, sports, or physically handicapped certificates) must also be presented where applicable. Additional documents such as transfer certificates and local status certificates may also be required in specific cases.

Web Options Entry Crucial for Seat Allotment

The web options entry process plays a critical role in determining seat allotment. Candidates must log in to the official portal using their credentials and select preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.

Experts advise students to list a wide range of options, including both top-tier institutions and safer backup choices, to maximize their chances of securing a seat. Once satisfied, candidates must “freeze” their options, as no changes are allowed after submission.

Final Advice for Aspirants

With competition expected to remain high, candidates are encouraged to prepare thoroughly, stay updated with official announcements, and carefully plan their counselling strategy. Researching college performance, placement records, and previous cutoff trends can significantly improve decision-making during the admission process.
