APPSC Website to Feature Marks

The AP Public Service Commission finally goes transparent. Candidates appearing for various APPSC recruitment exams can henceforth know their marks from the APPSC website, irrespective of whether they got selected for the job or not.Till now, the candidates had to submit RTI applications to know their marks in case of doubts over paper valuation. There has been a longpending demand from candidates for making the marks public.

The APPSC will post the marks of all the candidates after the announcement of final selection list for every recruitment exam to ensure transparency in the entire recruitment process. “To begin with, we have posted the marks of recent Group-I recruitment exam on the APPSC website. The commission will provide the marks of all the recruitment exams on the website after the announcement of final selection list,“ said Ms Poonam Malakondaiah, secretary, APPSC.

Besides ensuring transparency, she said, this will also enable candidates to assess their performance and know where they stand in the merit list. “Candidates can prepare accordingly to crack the exams in future,“ Ms Poonam added. The APPSC, earlier known for maintaining secrecy in recruitments, has been initiating se veral reforms since 2011.
