APSCHE will develop online library for AP students

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will develop an online academic resources library for use by different universities in the state. The library will have e-journals and e-books and is being planned as a resource junction for students.

The online library is likely to be linked to portals of all state universities. The project is meant to attract greater numbers of academics and students to online resources. Most colleges in the state do not have an ejournal. tate council officials said that the project had been on the anvil for two years but could not be executed due to paucity of funds.
“The online book archive would have to be set up with help from software majors and we are currently in the process of deciding which company should be given the responsibility. The deal should be finalised in a month’s time,” said a senior official with the council.
