The APTET is a State Eligibility test for candidates seeking employment opportunities as teachers in the state government schools. In many states of India, it is a pre-requisite for candidates to qualify the state's Teacher's Eligibility Test in order to apply for the post of government teachers.
The Commissionerate of School Education (CSE), Andhra Pradesh has released the official notification for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2018 on the website, the link for which is cse.ap.gov.in
The APTET 2018 exam will be held from January 17, 2018 to January 27, 2018 in online mode at various test centres.
Further, the registrations for APTET will begin from December 18, 2017.
Examination schedule:
The APTET 2018 will have two papers
Paper I and Paper II will be computer based tests comprising of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers
Candidates will be given two and a half hours to attempt the same. The examination would be held in two sessions i.e. 9:30 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm to 5 pm
There will be two papers for the TET. Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 1 to 5, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 6 to 8. A person who intends to be a Teacher either for Classes 1 to 5 or for Classes 6 to 8 shall have to appear in both Papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Structure and content:
Paper I:
The Paper I (for Classes 1 to 5) will have 150 MCQ's and the duration of the exam would be 2 hours 30 minutes.
Paper II:
Paper II (for classes 6 to 8) will also have 150 MCQ's and the total duration of this paper would be 2 hours 30 minutes.
Examination centers:
The APTET 2017 shall be conducted 'ONLINE' in the 13 districts. Candidates may give the preferential order of the centers.
Medium of question paper:
The question paper shall be bilingual i.e. English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. For the candidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari Script).
